Nardone Limited conducted an in-house anti-harassment training for one of its trusted dental clients on March 31, 2016. The training covered various sources of law and guidance, the types of harassment, the employee’s and employer’s responsibility, and the policies, procedures, and forms that should be in place. We strongly encourage you to be familiar with the preventative and corrective measures regarding discrimination and harassment in the workplace, and we would recommend that an anti-harassment training session be held on an annual basis. Anti-harassment training is one of the key ways for any employer to prevent and defend against harassment; In fact, the U.S. Supreme Court views such training as part of an employer’s responsibility to exercise reasonable care to prevent harassment. See Faragher v. Boca Raton, 524 U.S. 775 (1998).
